Having been in close proximity to the tarmac at Cadwell Park! The pictures below are from Anglesey!! Much finer weather all round and a mega fun meeting.......

In the holding bay at Anglesey and I appear deep in thought, the guy behind is talking about the size of the exhaust system (or he has been in conversation with my wife?). Next along is the fast right after the start and finish straight. Great circuit is this one. Plus a brill photo pose from Russell Lee, I can show off from time to time or what!! Keen eyes note the new exhaust line...... Some technicals in the next lot. Plus next meeting at the Three Sisters at Wigan - watch this space!

Above is a couple of neat pictures from the one and only big Russ! Three Sisters circuit and mixed fortunes on the day, to the left Pete Tibbitts with me chasing hard, watch out Pete!! Best on the day  a sixth, the engine is getting quicker but managed to break it in the last race. I now need a new front tyre, right boot, and piston urgently in time for the Cadwell meeting mid October. Notice the lack of novice jacket???? now I am a full licence holder! I will still need to wear it for the novice championship race though. Also if you read up on the Bantam club site you will see I met the tarmac again in the novice championship, whilst in third spot! Ho Hum......

Above left (on the globally famous table), the piston damage from the Sunday of the Three Sisters meeting. nasty pieces of metal were the cause! the repair in time for Cadwell was to replace the part for a nice shiny new one! lucky there was no other damage.....A quick shot in the centre, of Aidan and myself getting close and personal. He will be in New Zealand for next year, but the year after will be interesting!! On the right a famous bantam racer gives Aidan advice on where the corners are at Cadwell " Look Aidan this is how you get back to the paddock, just follow this map"!!

Slightly more serious..... a modification to the shocker mounting has improved the rather poor ground clearance. I left the original position on, just in case I didn't like the feel, all proved to be good so that will get cut off in time for next season. The fork legs in the centre are from Mike Powell to modify and test in a bid to improve the handling just that little bit more. Any one want to buy the road tyre in that picture? Fork mods to come soon.....

The New season to come demands more power! (Of course!!) better handling, and some more tidying up of the general cycle parts. I am to try out a new crankcase filling ring, Voila the picture on the right shows the very ring in its raw machined state on that special table.....

I must also thank all who have contributed to a very enjoyable season of racing, including every sponsor, big and small! and to all who have given free advice and help, and especially to the riders of the bantam club who have cut me up, diced and generally raced me to death, a greater set of people would be impossible to find...... THANKS.

Now Preparations begin with some modifications to the various exhaust pipes in the belief that I will find the perfect system!! Note on this one I am putting a longer center section into it. One of the other exhausts will get a shorter one and a new end cone. The next picture shows the head and barrel off the engine, and awaiting further work, its all go...... Plus to cap off the 2004 season the final novice race grid of the season at Cadwell on the club circuit.
