Yet more cracking pictures from the big man with the even bigger lens of sport-pics (Russ!). Shown at my most ludicrous angles of lean, and rubbing the boot down to nothing again... I am enjoying a few good scraps with Carl Coombes, Robbie Brown, a most rapid tiger cub and what I believe to be a Ducati rider. What a belter of a meeting! Pembrey is a very fast circuit and seems to have lots of grip. (thank goodness......) This is the Pembrey meeting, the two right hand pictures are at Brooklands hairpin, the left one is I think is Honda curve.
I am still holding my own in the champs tables at a slightly lower 6th (wow!!) Now for some more technical bits! other than a gravel incident at Lydden! You Ok John?

Shown on the right a number of famous bantams in the holding bay prior to the Lydden Past Masters parade. In the front of picture John Sendall (famous Kiwi bantam rider) is just about to test the flight qualities of the green meanie! Unusual not to be riding it myself!
Above the bike looks a bit sorry for it self in the shed! the engine out and being prepped for Cadwell July 24th 2005. Must get a move on or what? Plus.... the liner is out and being given a bit of gas flowing in the hope of a bit more torque and power. ( don't bother zooming in, I have removed the best bits!!!).
To the left above... coasting to a wet and soggy halt in the Hall bends at Cadwell Park July 2005. It rained yet again! and drowned me out completely on the last lap! Yuk... To the Australian guy in the paddock, send me some pics of your racing, it just has to be a lot dryer out there... There was me thinking the ignition was too wet to work, and when the head came off the piston was cracked. A very lucky escape! On the seriously special table, another rear hub, this gets drilled and tapped to 1/4 BSF and fitted with as long Allen head screws as possible for strength. When cash allows it will get an Alloy rim.... To the right, still at a soggy Cadwell, and dripping my way around hall bends.
I haven't kept up well with the site due to work pressures and the desperate need to race a lot! So apologies to those site watchers with a need for the next installment. Watch this space.
Bits to come will include the preparations for the 2006 season plus watch the results, as I am coming up the field, ending up at 7th in the 2005 championship table.
Carby bits being cleaned up and checked out. This is the flat slide Keihin body, not too much muck on the table so I should be OK with the wife on this occasion. Next pic is a most useful piece of equipment wonder what it does???? Plus my original throttle is falling to pieces so Allens Performance have helped out with this wonderful new one!
Here is a clip from the "Old Bike Mart" paper, this was the Cadwell October meeting on the Saturday first race. Pete and myself going at the job hammer and tongs! Pete did beat me but I gave him a hard time by diving under him at the hairpin.... The picture says it all. A new piece just been made is an exhaust shut out, more on this later as this is not the only bit I need to do a very important job............
Lots More Soon!
So here is a bit more at long last! The new 2006 season has already stared and I have been mega busy living and not updated the web site since long time ago. First meeting 2006 and the trouble is upon the piston.... Check out the pictures below.
The left picture clearly shows why the first race of the season at Mallory was a bit of a short lived affair. Detonation clearly set in, and YZ piston fell in at the end of the first lap! OOPS. Nil points that day. So next pic is Cadwell and shows all the (other) stars of bantam racing at the Woodlands hairpin, such a good picture. Provided by friends of Pete. The frame modifications to help solve mega bad handling problems experienced at Mallory season opener in the right hand pic. I didn't finish a race, but what few laps I got in proved I have to do something to improve the handling...
Some
race Pics to come.
A view looking at the latest set up and you can see the frame mods as above. Plus Camp Rooster at Pembrey 2006! Note the latest fashion accessory is the Gazebo provided by "Fastheat Phil" from his mothers garage! Much needed shade on that weekend for sure!
